The House:
Two Purbeck stone cottages (one mid-Victorian and the other dating back at least 400 years in parts) converted into a single four- bedroom home with bed space for 9 people (more at a push!).
The front door opens straight into a small cosy lounge with Purbeck flagstone floor, a recently installed wood-burner, 37″ TV and comfortable seating for 8 people. Two steps up lead into our newly renovated kitchen/dining extension that extends across the back of both cottages. The kitchen is well equipped with a range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The pine dining table seats 8-10 comfortably.
Patio doors lead out into a small garden- a sun trap partially sheltered by a fig tree and grape vine.
To the left of the kitchen/diner, a corridor leads to a wet room and toilet,
and beyond that the downstairs double bedroom.
Upstairs there’s a spacious bathroom and toilet, and the second double bedroom.
Two other sets of stairs lead to:
a chill-out room ideal for teenagers, with tv for a games console and bunk beds.
and the final bedroom, beamed with old ships’ timbers, with 3 built in single beds. (One of these is a 2’6″ mattress and is only really suitable for a child).
There are also two travel cots available on request.
